Jasper – Born 2026

Born in the wild in Alaska in January 2026, male siblings Jasper and Koda became orphaned after their mother had been labeled as a nuisance bear due to the community continuously feeding her. Despite attempts to correct this by Alaska Fish & Game, this behavior increased, ultimately leading to the mothers removal from the population. These two cubs were sent to the Alaska Zoo, who contacted us and cared for them until their arrival in September, 2026. Jasper has a small white blaze on his chest, while Koda has a blonde beard. Arriving at 9 months old, they are our youngest bears here at the Center.
